Jason Scott
Hyde
Oct 9, 1966 — Nov 2, 2026
Sheridan
Sgt. 1st Class (Retired) Jason Scott Hyde, 60, went home to our Lord on November 2, 2026. He was born October 9, 1966, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Freddie and Maneece Hyde. He retired from the Air National Guard, where the Razorback lives. Jason attended Nettleton High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas. After a short stint at ASU Jonesboro, he joined the military. He wanted to serve his country like so many generations of relatives in the past. Even his grandpa, who served in World War I and World War II. He also flew with the Arkansas Drug Task Force. Jason was a great hunter of deer and turkey, along with loving to fish any chance he got. He was certainly an outdoorsman. He had a dry and sarcastic sense of humor and was a wonderful storyteller. He was loved by so many, and he loved everyone. He will be greatly missed until we see him again in heaven.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Freddie Hyde; nephews, Joshua Brockinton and Jereryl Hunts; and several aunts, uncles and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bonnie Gill Hyde; two children, Dalton Hyde (Olivia) and Leah Hyde; his mother, Maneece Duke; sisters, Amalea Buchanan (Steve) and Michelle Treat (Bill); several nephews and nieces; and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Funeral service will be held Monday November 9, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas with Sen. Kim Hammer and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Interment service with military honors will follow at Lee Cemetery in Grapevine. Visitation will be held also at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Pallbearers are Matt Gill, Bill Treat, Rick Jonson, Dalton Hyde, Steve Buchanan, Heath Simpson and Tyler Adamson.
