Velma Jean Webb Reed of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 2, 1932 in Corning, the daughter of the late Acie Rile Webb and Tinnie Victoria Smith Webb. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed decorative painting, fishing with her husband Gerry, writing poetry, cooking and her family. Her family was very important to her and she loved them all dearly.

Ms. Reed died at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 92.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Reed: sons, James Copeland, Charles Reed; daughter, Karen Coutant; brothers, Alvie Webb, Edgar Webb and Acie Webb: sister, Hazel Stuart.
Survivors:  sons, Greg Reed (Kay) of Sheridan, Bryan Reed (Linda) of Sheridan; daughters, Paulette Hogan (Ed) of LaFollette, TN, Cindy Gierth (Roy) of Arkadelphia, Sharon Scruggs (Joe) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; brothers, Marvin Webb (Gail) of Sheridan, Roy Webb (Charlotte) of Sheridan, Eugene Webb of Sheridan; sisters, Elsie Wallingsford (Gene) of Sheridan, Beulah Mae Phillip of Coos Bay, OR: daughter-in-law, Judy Copeland; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Webb officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
