Obituary

Jeff Ritter, 60 of Benton, AR, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014.

He was born in San Antonio Texas on January 21, 1954. His parents were James L.S. and Ruth W. Ritter.

Jeff had many interests including music (especially the blues), reading, and outdoors activities of any sort. He was a canoeist, and enjoyed sailing with his good friends Bob Schenebeck and Bruce Driver.

He was an accomplished horseman/cowboy. When he was a child, his uncle asked how he was doing and Jeff replied,"OK I guess, but I don't have a horse to my name!" (hint, hint!). He was a proud member of the 'Mon Back Group with life long friends Rene Julian, Roger Mayo, Ken Miller and many others too numerous to name.

He worked for Ryerson Steel for two decades.

He is survived by his wife Tami Barron, his sister Christi Loper, his brother Fred Ritter, and six nieces and nephews, as well as two stepsons Christopher Barron Cook, and Joey Cook.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His memorial will be held this spring in Little Rock, AR, where his family and friends will celebrate his life.

Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Saline County,
P.O. Box 305, Benton, AR, 72018-0305.
