Jerrell Dewell Moring of White Hall, Arkansas was born November 7, 1929 in Sheridan,the son of the late Alpha Dewell Moring and Alice Marie Corley Moring. He was a graduate of Prattsville High School and was a retired minister having pastored over 48 years in Southern Baptist Churches in southern Louisiana. He was a member of First Baptist Church in White Hall. He was a veteran of the U.S. Military Forces, having served both in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V".
Mr. Moring died Monday, March 21, 2005 at Select Speciality Hospital (Jefferson Regional Medical Center) in Pine Bluff at the age of 75.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Jean White Moring and a son, Michael Moring.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Bob Harper and Bro. Tim Law officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation: 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.Pallbearers: Hugh Cockrill, Wayne King, Greg Stafford, Ken Wheeler, Harold McKinney,and Don Hulse.
