H.G. "Jerri" Gimlin Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 27, 1928 in Swan, Missouri, the daughter of the late John David and Verna Mae Grimm Gimlin.

Ms. Jerri went to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 89.

Ms. Jerri was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, where for many years taught the Grace Sunday School Class. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She and her late husband previously owned Smitty's Drive Inn in California, Smitty's Restaurant in Sheridan and Smith Model Market in Leola.

She enjoyed oil painting, gardening, sewing, playing the guitar, and playing Skipbo. She loved to cook, and always said "I love to feed hungry people". She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Truitt "Smitty" Smith, her son-in-law, Larry Harris, a grandson, Auston Harris, all of her siblings, Amos, Kermit, Arthur, Alton, Stanley, Johnny; Bonnie and Alta.

Survivors: sons, Danny and wife Mickie Smith, Beauford "Biff" and wife DeeAnn Smith; daughter, Bonnie Harris, all of Sheridan; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, her dog "Buddy",  and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Hill, Bro. DeHaan Thornton and Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. also at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Ryan Smith, Justin Smith, Nick Smith, Jeremy Smith, Garrett Smith and Rodney Partee. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Harris and Shelton Harris (Deployed).
