Obituary

Jerry Crutchfield of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 11, 1941 in Sheridan, the son of the late Alison and May Kennedy Crutchfield. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville and a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed raising cattle, fox and deer hunting.

Mr. Crutchfield died Monday, April 29, 2024 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 82.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Crutchfield; sisters, Zula Bird, Zelma Highsmith, Dorothy Atchley, and Helen Lipscomb.

Survivors, wife of 62 years, Thelma Wells Crutchfield of Sheridan; son, Dale Crutchfield (Evelyn) of Sheridan; daughters, Eva Fuell (Scott) of Prattsville. Sarah Goodman (Jeff) of Prattsville; sister, Betty Tapley of Greenbrier; 9 grandchildren, Rachel Mooney (PJ), Carrie Pruitt (Cody), Jamie Fuell (Craig Sharp), Wesley Crutchfield (Kellie), Thomas Fuell, Richard Shelly (Ellie), AJ Goodman (Breanna), Silas Goodman, Caroline Goodman: 8 great grandchildren: his loyal cow dog, Millie: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Neal Hollinger, Bro. Bill Webb, and Bro. Nathan Petty officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
