Jerry Lynn Stacks of East End, Arkansas was born July 13, 1936 in Plumerville, the son of the late Rufus Jefferson Stacks and Erie Wofford Stacks. He had retired from Arkansas Highway Department with 45 years of service and had served in the United States Army. He was a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and raising livestock. His greatest joy was his wife of 60 years.
Mr. Stacks died on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home at the age of 85.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Sims Stacks and his brother Farrell Ray Stacks.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Rhonda Stacks of Norfork; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Chris House of Hensley; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Stacks, Joseph (Elizabeth) Stacks T.K. (Bryan) Roseberry, Judith (Matt) Little, Brittney Delacruz; great grandchildren Paula, Julieann, Alyson, Clayton, Holland, Cara, Dalton, Gibbons, Grayson, Sawyer, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 7, 2022 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church in East End with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday also at the church.
Pallbearers Seth Hannahs, Ken Huggins, Matt Little, Bryan Roseberry, Danny Stacks and Steve Stacks. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Dixon, Charles Garrett, Bob Gossett, Bruce Johnson, Larry Johnson, Mack Johnson, David Rushing, Bobby Sims, Jr.
