Jessie Cleo Harper of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 15, 1933 at Sheridan, the son of the late Johnny Jackson and Sarah Emily Baker Harper. He was a member of Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church, formerly served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Kohler as a welder. Jessie loved to garden, to fish, and to cook. He was also an avid Arkansas Razorback fan..."Go Hogs".
Mr. Harper died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at V.A. Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 73.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Burnett Harper of Sheridan; Sons: Randy and wife Karen Jewett of Sheridan and James S. Harper of Sheridan; Daughters: Debbie and husband Terry Greer of Arenzville, Illinois, Pam and husband Frank Perritt of Sulphur Rock; Cindy and husband Brian Biard of Guion and Debbie Harper of Sheridan; Sisters: Helen Walker of Sheridan and Tresia McCool of Oregon; Grandchildren: Randall, Meggan, Ayden, Amanda, April, J.T., Shawn, Sheena, Shelly, Erica, Dylan, Monica, Nathan, and Justin. Great Grandchildren: Landon, Brayden, Halaina, Abe, Jesse, James, Jocelynn, Riley, Shane, Kobe, Keaton, Katie, Garrett, Gavin, Kyleigh and Landon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Moore's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers are Shawn Cox, J.T. Harp, James Neal, Nathan Plummer, Justin Plummer and Rebel Wetherington. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Jewett and Dylan Biard.
