James Carlton "Jim" Kelly of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 20, 1943 in Sheridan, the son of the late Carl and Corrine Walker Kelly. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, hunting, fishing, going to I-30 Speedway, and sitting at the roundtable drinking coffee with his many friends. He was of the Baptist faith.

Jim had such love for his daughter and granddaughters and their activities. He was at every sporting event they participated in when he was able. He will always be remembered for his loyalty to the Sheridan Yellowjackets as their #1 fan.

Jim died Friday, November 14, 2014 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 71.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Kelly, and sisters, Loretta Myers and Joyce Wiggins.

Survivors, daughter, Toni Carter; granddaughters, Hannah, Heather and Hope Carter; son-in-law, Brian Carter; brother, Dennis and wife Carolyn Kelly all of Sheridan; sisters, Judy Roberts of Sheridan, Wanda Kelly of Bend, Oregon, special dog, Tess, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jacob Kelly, James Roberts, Darrell Kelly, Todd Hitt, Shane Harris and David Moring. Honorary pallbearers are the guys from the roundtable.
