Jimmie Ashcraft Burnett of Hensley, Arkansas was born May 11, 1934 in Sheridan, Arkansas the daughter of the late Mose Gary and Sarah Baker Ashcraft. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily, working word find puzzles, cooking and gardening. She was a very compassionate lady, and a wonderful listener.

Mrs. Burnett died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Baptist Heath Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 79.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orvel Gene Burnett, brothers, Richard Ashcraft and Bobby Ashcraft and a daughter, Marion Hartwick.

Survivors: daughter, Janet and husband Ray Ortiz of Hensley; brothers, Roger Ashcraft of Pascagoula, Mississippi; sisters, Mary Moore of Sheridan, Bonnie Ashcraft of Oregon; Sue Burnett of Little Rock, and Judy Henderson of Sheridan; grandson, Jesse Hartwick and wife Crystallyne of Hensley and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 until 10:45 AM.
