Jimmie Rae Buie Dawson of Prattsville, Arkansas was born September 22, 1926 in Prattsville, the daughter of the late James Olen and Lucille Alvern Irvin Buie. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired medical assistant having worked for many years for Dr. Curtis Clark and Dr Clyde Paulk as well as clinics in Redfield. She also loved to garden and travel, especially to Branson.

Mrs. Dawson died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at her home at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Collier Lewis Dawson, sisters, Mary Emma Buie Robertson and Elaine Buie Journey.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Harmony Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. Neal Pumphrey and Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Paxton, Brian Harrington, Jerry Hope, James Keesee, Gene Sligh, and Freddy Harrington. Honorary pallbearers are John Ashcraft, Billy Crutchfield and Paul Crutchfield.
