James "Jimmie" Douglas Phillips, of Sheridan, was born at Leola, Arkansas on July 7, 1934, the son of the late James and Katie Strong Phillips.
He died at Hot Springs County Medical Center in Malvern, Arkansas on April 3, 2006 at the age of 71 years. He was a Shipping Clerk for Williams Sawmill which was later Fox Lumber Company, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sheridan.

Clark Phillips of Leola, Arkansas;
2 sisters: Gladys Batchelor of Poyen, Arkansas;
Natalie McCrackin of Tulip, Arkansas;
10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
Funeral will be Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 10 AM at First Baptist Church in Sheridan, with Bro. Mark Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. (870)942-1306.
