Obituary

Billy James "Jimmy" Thompson, Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 29, 1950 in El Dorado, the son of the late Billy James Thompson, Sr. and Betty Jo Biggers Thompson.

He was retired from Ammonia Pipeline and had served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, enjoyed hunting, grilling, mowing yards and sports. Other than his strong faith in God, the most important part of Jimmy's life was his family.  He cherished his wife, kids and grandkids.

Mr. Thompson died on July 12, 2023 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 73.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephews, Justin Thompson and Rocky Thompson.

Survivors: wife of almost 50 years, Cathy Adams Thompson of Sheridan; son, Shane (Jennifer) Thompson of Little Rock; daughter, Timi Marie (Jeremy) Enloe of North Little Rock; brothers, Robert Stanley (Cindy) Thompson of Woodberry, Rusty (Carol) Thompson of Woodberry; sister, Sherry (Bill) Henson of Alexander; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Enloe, Kennedy Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2023 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Copeland and Bro. David Inzer officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. on Monday at Means Cemetery near Hampton.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Jones, Carey Autrey, Junior Laws, Raymond Laws, Keith Throneberry, Randy Heath. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Enloe, Dickie Whitaker, Ron Lewis, Rayvon Vailes.
