Joan Helene Korneick Rodgers of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 9, 1936 at Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late John and Cecilia Korneick. She attended Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan where she was in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and participated in the church quilting group B.O.S.S. (Busy Older Sisters Stitchin').

Mrs. Rodgers died Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Hot Spring County Medical Center at Malvern at the age of 72. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Les Rodgers.

Survivors include her sons, John and wife Cindy Kellebrew of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Daryl and wife Missy Kellebrew of Sheridan, Arkansas and Jeff Kellebrew of Roland, Arkansas; daughter, Diana and husband Jim Southerland of Franklin, Tennessee; sisters, Theresa Claeys and Betty Dillon, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Megan Southerland, Ashley Southerland, Alicia Kellebrew, Brian Kellebrew and Josh Kellebrew.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, November 24, 2008 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Nathan Winiecki officiating. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:30 A.M.. Memorials may be made to the B.O.S.S.
