Jodie Spain of Mountain View, Arkansas was born April 30, 1946 at Marianna, Arkansas, the son of the late Joe and Daisy Spain. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Jodie passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville at the age of 71. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his previous wife, Linda Spain; son, Eugene Jenkins Watson; grandson, Joel Brown; and a brother, Bobby Keown.

Survivors include his wife Stephanie Spain of Mountain View; son, Harlon Watson (Gail) of Grapevine; daughters, Angie Spain Bowlin (Jeff) of Richmond, Kentucky, Jennifer Watson of Mountain View, and Nikki Archer (John) of Dumas; grandchildren, Abby Helvey, Kris Howell (Caitlin), Layla Kimberlin, Gracie Watson, Sonny Archer, Stormi Archer, Mackenzie Archer and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Sulphur Springs. Visitation is Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Keith Raymick, Tommy Hankins, Bull Durough, Mike Taylor, Irvin Mooney, and Bruce Mullins.
