Joe Wayne Ebbs of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 23, 1924 at Bluffton, Arkansas the son of the late Wesley Odis and Mary Ann Hicks Ebbs. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in Okinawa and Iwo Jima and also fought on land with the United States Marines. He was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church, was a member of the V.F.W. and was a retired Gas Station owner.

Mr. Ebbs died Monday, March 15, 2004 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 79. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vance Ebbs and Newland Ebbs.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 18, 2004 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Gene Huskey, Temon Jenkins and Joe Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Sheridan. Visitation: 7-9 PM Wednesday

Pallbearers: Jerry Don Ebbs II, Chase Ebbs, Blade Ebbs, Jamie Lunsford Jr., Dan Ebbs and David Bise.
