Joe Clifton Harter of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 6, 1947 in the Calvert Community in Sheridan. He was the son of the late Joe Cearley and Willene McElroy Harter. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran, and had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, drag racing, and riding his motorcycles. He was also a Free Mason and a member of the American Legion Post 30.

Joe died Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Veterans Hospital at the age of 77.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Kory and Lucas Harter; and a sister, Jackie Lou Wilson Ross.

Survivors: daughters, Tammy Joe Dunderdale (John) of Sheridan, Natasha Joe Bray (Aaron) of Texarkana, AR; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Graveside will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Rhodes Cemetery with Bro. Danny Hill officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Keaton Ausbrooks, Roy Welch, Jon Paul Anderton, Bill Mooney, Ronnie Joe Vance and James Elrod Roberts.
