John Michael "JM" Ashley of Prattsville, Arkansas was born October 20th, 1974, in Little Rock Arkansas the son of Richard and Penny Ashley. He married Heidi Worthington on January 1st, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

JM passed away this past Monday August 5th, at the age of 49.

JM graduated from Sheridan High School in 1993. He was highly successful at band and was drum major. He also attended Arkansas Tech University. JM moved to North Carolina where he worked as a musician for the Rocket Band. He came back to Arkansas to assist with the family business, Ashley Substation, where he was safety manager. He was also a writer with many books written and sold. JM loved music, nature, the paranormal, the Arkansas Razorbacks and loved to take his son to the lake. He was a loving father and husband, and he will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olton and Hilda Ashley and Eugene and Helen Channell.

Survivors include his wife Heidi, his son William Johnsson Ashley, his parents Richard and Penelope Ashley, brothers Mark (Melissa) Ashley of Prattsville, and Lance Ashley of Chapel Hill, NC, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville, with Bro. Richard Sullivant officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Little Rock or the Hydrocephalus Association.
