John P. Kelley of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 9, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Charles E. and Fern Campbell Kelley. He had served his country in the United State Army and had retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in White Hall and was an avid race car fan. He was a previous driver and a supplier of parts. He dearly loved his granddaughters.
Mr. Kelley died at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the age of 79.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Boyd.
Survivors: daughter, Kasey King; brother, Gary (Sondra) Kelley; sisters, Gerry Boyd, Charlene (David) Holloway all of Sheridan; former wife, Delores Kelly of White Hall: 3 granddaughters, Presley King, Peyton King, and Sunny Moss and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to say a special thanks to his caregivers, Kelly Lea and Kelley Miller for their kindness shown to him.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 2, 2022 at Center Campground Cemetery in the Prague Community with Bro. Doyle Caldwell officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 AM until service time also at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sheridan Animal Control.
Pallbearers are Allen Kelley, Kris Erstine, Max Ozment, Chris Estes, Brandon Wilson, and David Falls. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Creed, Wayne Razor, Kelley Erstine, Corey Reed, and David Holloway.
