John Miller McGinness of Little Rock was born November 10, 1941 in Little Rock the son of the late John and Neva Miller McGinness. He was retired from Maurice Sporting Goods and had served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1966. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Mr. McGinness died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Vincents Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 70.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul McGinness.

Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Mildred Dreher McGinness of Little Rock;
Children, Tracy and husband Greg Perry of Little Rock; John McGinness, Jr. and wife Alana McGinness of Benton; Mark and wife Margaret McGinness of Little Rock; Heather and husband Earl Younger of Mabelvale; Matthew and wife Jennifer McGinness of Benton; Stephanie and husband Matt Kemp of North Little Rock; 10 grandchildren.

He was loved and will be missed greatly by family, friends and a host of others.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday April 1, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Dr. Sidney Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Ironton Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be from 2-4 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John McGinness, Jr., Mark McGinness, Matthew McGinness, Greg Perry, Earl Younger and Matt Kemp.
