John Frank Rochner, Sr. of Redfield was born June 24, 1925 at Pt. DeLuce, Arkansas, the son of the late August "Gus" and Gertrude Litch Rochner. He was a decorated WWII U.S. Army Veteran having received the EAME Theater Ribbon,three Bronze Service Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and a World War II Victory Ribbon. John was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was retired from Cotton Belt Railroad after 44 years of service. He loved to hunt and fish and was a master gardener.
Mr. Rochner died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Saline County at the age of 82.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Doris West Rochner of Redfield; Sons, John F. Rochner, Jr. and wife Chae of White Hall, Larry and wife Michelle Rochner of East End, Lewis Rochner of White Hall, Jimmy and wife Vicky Rochner of White Hall and Mark and wife Jennifer Rochner of Tyrone, Georgia; Sister, Ruth Hartoon of Ft. Smith; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Rochner's home. The address is 2021 River Road, Redfield, Arkansas. Ph. (501) 397-2702.
