Obituary

John Walker Scott IV 33 years old passed away December 19. John was born December 7th, 1992 in Little Rock Arkansas to John (Scotty) and Angela (Kelly) Scott. John was an avid hunter of ducks and geese, amateur fisherman, street racer, and mud hole seeker. To truly know John was to truly love him and see the joy and sunshine he shared freely with the big smile that you could see somehow, even through the beard. The only thing he loved more than seeking out places to shoot the "waterproof chickens" was with his wife, his family, his dogs, Roxi, Samson, and Daisy Mae, and all the friends that have become more like family. There was not a duck or goose he didn't want to mount and hang up in the house. He was constantly making sure there was a fishing pole available for every lake day since he got bored of swimming, and he was known to dive for any baits or gigs he would get caught up. There was not a race he wanted to miss, especially with that $20 he had in his hand. There is not a mud ride he didn't want to travel for to find some new mud and bigger challenges.

John was welcomed in heaven by his father John Scott "Scotty" III, his grandparents Rosemary Francisco, Alice Tipton Pettit, and Carroll Tipton, his aunt Debbie Scott and too many good friends.  John will forever be remembered by his wife and best friend Katlyn Scott, his mother Kelly Taylor, his sister Alise (Cordell) Wainwright, his aunt "crazy" Cindy Bishop, his very close nephews Harlan Palmer, Jackson McNair, and Logan McNair, his fur family Roxi, Samson, and Daisy Mae as well as a host of loved extended family and friends who've become family.

A celebration of John's life will be 12:00 P.M. Monday January 5, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Jimmy Pelkey officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
