Obituary

John Mack Sketoe of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 11, 1952 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late John B. and Alice Bell Kelly Sketoe. He was a safety coordinator and manager for Hoosier Transit. John Mack enjoyed his work, but his greatest joy was spending time with the lights of his life, his granddaughters. It didn't matter to him who a person was, rich or poor, he treated them all with respect and friendship. He was a great storyteller, had a generous heart, and would go to any lengths possible to help someone in need.

Mr. Sketoe died Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home, at the age of 63. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Evelyn Gail Sketoe.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, John Allen and Beth Sketoe, and his granddaughters, Gracie Sketoe and Lexie Sketoe, all of Conway; brother, Jim Sketoe of Sheridan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Jack Wolfolk of Little Rock, Jane and Rich Thompson of Little Rock, Alice and Pete Jobe of Hot Springs.

Pallbearers are Kenneth "KC" Culpepper, Phil Threet, Pug Stratton, Ron L. Williams, Tom Ladd, Phil Fouke and Jerry Reid.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2016 at Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan, with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation is Thursday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
