Johnnie Blackerby Bratton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 28, 1925 in Grapevine, Arkansas , the daughter of the late Vin and Ruthie Johnson Blackerby. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, where she was a member of the Grace Sunday School Class and for many years was a pre-school Sunday School teacher. She loved to work in her yard, crochet, cross-stitch and cook.

Mrs. Bratton died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Saline Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marshie Jane Hedden, Elva Taylor and her brothers, Vindel, Joseph and Frank Blackerby.

Survivors, Husband of 62 years, Lester Bratton of Sheridan;
Son, Alan Bratton and wife Michele of Plano, Texas;
Grandchildren, Brian, Tyler and Jason Bratton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at First Landmark Baptist Church with Bro. Doney Blackerby and Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery at Grapevine. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
