Joseph E. (Joey) York, Jr., of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 20, 1958 in Bellflower, California, the son of the late Joseph E. York, Sr. and Camy D. Lane York. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and playing with his grandbabies.

Joseph died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his home at the age of 59.

Survivors: wife of 18 years, Mary Najera York of Sheridan; sons, Jeremy York of California, Nick McEwan of Oregon, Johnny Mitchell (Tara) of California, Jamie Mitchell (Melissa) of California; daughters, Sherry Christesen of California, Nicole York of California, Jasmine Williamson(John Wyatt) of Sheridan, Jodi Mitchell (Armando Jimenez) of Malvern; brother, Jeffrey York (JaNetta) of Sheridan, Edward York (Lisa) of Oklahoma; sisters, Diana Elam (Michael) of Bentonville, Elizabeth Burrup (Mark) of Sheridan, Jody Kraft of Montana, Letha Irons of Monticello; grandchildren, Ariannah and Anthony Jimenez and Jeremy Joseph York, Jr. and many others and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God with Bro. Odell Lindsey officiating.
