Obituary

Josie Whiteaker Anderton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 9, 1920 in Grant County, Arkansas the daughter of the late Jesse Hugh Earl and Mary Alice Jackson Whiteaker. She was a member of Sheridan Church of Christ and was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, embroidery and fishing.

Ms. Anderton died Monday, November 17, 2008 at HSC Medical Center in Malvern at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Bill"Anderton; a brother, Rev. Bill Whiteaker; sister, Edna Earle Whiteaker and a son Marvin Anderton.

Survivors: Sons, Harold Anderton of Malvern;
Garland Anderton of Sheridan;
Dwight Anderton of Pine Bluff;
Delbert Anderton of Sheridan;
Daughter, Alice Webb of Bartlett, Tennessee;
14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Phil Whiteaker, Bro. Al Michael and Bro. Jim Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Anderton, Ricky Anderton, Jon Paul Anderton, Bobby Anderton, Matthew Webb, and Eddie Romine. Honorary pallbearers will be Byron Hicks, Roy Kelly, John Phillips, Ray Owens, Preston Owens and Aaron Owens.
