Joyce Hamlin Atkinson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 9, 1931 in Malvern, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Rupert Hamlin and Jessie Toney. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing the organ and playing bingo with her friends.
Mrs. Atkinson died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant at the age of 83.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Atkinson, her step-father, Neal Trichell, a brother, Sonny Trichell and a sister, Bertie Paul.
Survivors; son, Gary Paul of Benton; daughter, Linda Griffith of Sheridan; sisters, Shirley Beaty of Benton, Geraldine Ross of Indio, CA; grandchildren, Leslie Smith, Chris Griffith, Nicholas Paul and Michael Paul; great grandchildren, Nicole, Aly and AJ Paul, Michael, Luke and Gage Griffith, her cat, Bohdi and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 until service time.
