Joyce Marie Snider Johnston of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 19, 1933 in Henry County, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling but first and foremost in her life was her love and devotion to her family.

Mrs. Johnston died, Saturday, August 5, 2006 at her home at the age of 72 surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Wayne McWhorter and a daughter, Dixie Lee McWhorter Shaum.

Survivors include her husband and best friend, B.J. Johnston of Sheridan;

Alan Lee and wife Tracy Johnston;
Daughter: Pamala Marie and husband Brian Wise;
Brother: Phillip Bruce and wife Peggy Snider;
Sister: Virginia "Ginger" Metscaviz;
Special 1st Cousins: Mary Lou and husband Slug Moon,
Dolores and husband Gene Stout;
Grandchildren: Jennifer McWhorter, Shawn Patrick McWhorter, Naomi Shaum, David Lee and wife Sharla Williams, Curtis Wayne and wife Shelley Duncan, Sally Kay and husband Michael Mellen, Kevin Bruce and wife Astin Duncan, Virginia Marie Wise, KayCee Dora Wise, Nathaniel and wife Trina McWhorter, Sarah Renee McWhorter, Devyn Wayne McWhorter and Cody Johnston;
Great Grandchildren: Zachary, Roxanne, and Haily Williams, Hayden, Emily and Olivia Duncan, Brody and Abby Gail Mellen, Austin Duncan, Jaden and Raya McWhorter, and Kaden McWhorter.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the family home, 200 Sunshine Drive at Clearwater Lake near Sheridan.
