J. T. Davis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 11, 1989 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of Jerry and Larenda Beckwith Davis. He was a member of Bethany #1 Missionary Baptist Church in Grapevine and a junior at U.A.L.R., studying construction management. He was employed with his family's business, Sheridan Excavating. J.T. enjoyed being outdoors. Among his many interests was, hunting, car racing, stereos, scuba diving and photography, just to name a few. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and many friends.

J.T. died Friday, October 23, 2009 in Sheridan, as the result of an accident, at the age of 20. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Beckwith, paternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Davis, and maternal great grandmother, "Ma B" Beckwith.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Larenda Davis of Sheridan; Maternal grandmother, Brenda Beckwith of Sheridan; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Center Campground Cemetery, in the Prague Community, near Sheridan. Visitation will be Monday, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
