Obituary

Juanda Durham Williamson Young of Hot Springs, Arkansas was born August 8, 1931 at home in Hardin, the daughter of the late John N. And Alice L. Tyner Durham. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, Pine Bluff Credit Professionals. Jefferson County Medical Assistants, Past President of Pine Bluff Credit Professionals and held a perfect attendance for 18 years. She had been Office Manager for Medical offices over the years; 12 years at South Arkansas Surgical Associates having retired in December 1992.

Mrs. Young died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Joseph's Mercy Medical Center at Hot Springs at the age of 79.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Noel "Jack" Williamson and Charles E. Young; Daughters, Deborah Williamson Austin, Lisa Ann Williamson; Sisters, Mary Scarlett, Helen Derrisseaux, Louise Robertson, Rachel Parker; Brother, John Durham, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Tim and wife Laurette Williamson of Sheridan; Son-in-law, Bill Austin of Little Rock; a son, Fred Thompson of Odd, West Virginia; Granddaughters, Rhonda Austin Robinette (Mark), Tara Lynn Austin (Becca) all of Little Rock and Brandy Williamson Tuft (Eric) of Fayetteville; Grandsons, William Guffy of Sheridan; Allen Thompson (Debbie) of Elkins, West Virginia; 7 Great grandchildren, Special Companion, her dog, Skipper and her neighbor and caregiver for years, Gerda Stijakovich.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dennis Buchanan, Doug Scallion, Richard Boling, Mike Jordan, Bruce Hogan and Jack Cooley. Honorary pallbearers are the Ruth Circle of Presbyterian Women.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3819 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the special care shown during her illness, Dr. Robert Muldoon and Staff at Genesis Cancer Center at Hot Springs and the staff and nurses at St. Josephs's Hospital.
