Karma Jean Lucas of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 17, 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Herburt Louis and Doris Brasfield Lucas. She was a retired accountant for the State of Arkansas and a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheridan.

Mrs. Lucas died Monday, November 2, 2026 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff at the age of 54.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Lucas and a brother-in-law, Jim Roper.

Survivors: husband John Dancy of Sheridan; brother, Jeff Lucas (Dixie) of Millington, TN; sister, Brenda Roper of Dyersburg, TN; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held, December 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with Pastor Todd Paul Taulbee officiating.
