Kathleen Whitaker Brewer of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 9, 1940 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Willis and Flora Belle Stone Whitaker. Kathleen was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed going to lunch with her classmates and visiting.

Kathleen died at her home on September 20, 2023 at the age of 82.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brewer; sister, Betty Walker and a brother, Rickey Whitaker, Sr.

Survivors: son, Eddie (Dorothy) DeMoss; daughter, Patty (Scott) Knox; brother, Dickey (Louise) Whitaker; sister-in-law, Linda Whitaker all of Sheridan; 4 grandchildren, Kandice (Ted), Courtney (Brody), Kaylee (Hunter), Tabatha (Chris); 6 great grandchildren, Caden, Kelson, Collin, Kylee, Evan, Anna; her beloved dog Amos; her caregivers, Renee Warner and Peggie Socia and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until service time. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan.

Pallbearers are Rickey Whitaker, Jr., Hunter Henderson, Zach Whitaker, James Holston, Scott Knox and Brody Channell.

The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice for the love and care given to Kathleen.
