Obituary

Kathryn Sophia Ross Walters of the Palestine Community near Sheridan was born March 14, 1925 at Mabelvale the daughter of the late John C. and Katherine Kling Ross. She was a member of the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church and the Palestine Extension Homemakers Club and was retired from Wal-Mart in Sheridan where she worked in the fabric department for many years.

Mrs. Walters died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. "Cole" Walters, two brothers, Wallace Ross and Johnnie Ross, two sisters, Verna Hudson and Louise Faulkner and one Grandson, Dalton Walters.

2 Sisters: Edith Elrod of Little Rock
Virginia Venable of Florissant, Missouri
19 Grandchildren
10 Great Grandchildren

Graveside Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Jacobs Cemetery, on Grant County Road 11 off of Highway 35 North, near Palestine Community with Rev. Doney Blackerby officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Memorials may be made to the Grant County Library or the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-1306.
