Margaret Kay Grant Lybrand of Grapevine, Arkansas was born February 10, 1953 at Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Hugh Grant, Sr. and Aletha Maureen West Grant.  From childhood till a few years ago, she attended Pine Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Grapevine, and for the past 11 years, she belonged to First United Methodist Church in Sheridan. She was a member of the Eastern Star, White Sulphur Chapter.  Kay was a homemaker, but that was truly a full time job for her, because she stayed busy all the time.  Just a few of the things she enjoyed was ceramics, jewelry making, drawing, reading, camping, fishing, and of course cooking for her family and community.  Her family was her first priority and she loved them with all her heart.

Mrs. Lybrand died Friday, October 1, 2021 at her home, at the age of 68.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kelley.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Eddie Lybrand; daughter and son-in-law, Renee' and Shane Johnston; brother, Joey Grant, all of Grapevine; grandchildren, Brenton Lane Ray, Jaxon Grant Ray, Destiny Alexis Johnston, Elon Cash Johnston, MaKenna Kay Maureen Johnston, Leightyn Ellen Marie Johnston; bonus daughter, Mishey Brown; nephew, Jason Kelley; nieces, Brandy Marsh, Lindsey Wise. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with Bro. Lance Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery.  Visitation is also Tuesday, from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
