Joe Kory Harter of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 9, 1983 in Benton, Arkansas the son of Joe Clifton Harter and Nancy McBee Harter. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as riding motorcycles, go carts and race cars. In his younger years, he played baseball, basketball and football.

Kory died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at White County Medical Center in Searcy at the age of 32.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Willene Harter and Victor and Ollie Mae McBee and his best friend and brother, Lucas Harter.

Survivors: father, Joe Harter; mother, Nancy Harter both of Sheridan Sisters, Natasha Harter Dowd and husband Joe of Texarkana, AR, Tammy Joe Harter Dunlap and husband Toby of Sheridan; nieces, Samantha Erb, Kaitlyn McAfee, Katelyn Dunlap, Olivia and Bailey Dowd; nephew, Ayden Harter; great nieces, Kaydence and Addelyn Elkin and many aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rhodes Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers are Ray Vance, Elrod Roberts, Doc Easley, Roy Welch, Toby Dunlap and Butch Davis.
