L.A. Warnix of Sheridan, Arkansas, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, was born September 22, 1936 near Hampton, Arkansas, the son of the late William Fred and Nannie Robinson Warnix. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shreveport, and before moving to Sheridan, he was active in their visitation program. He was a retired from the Army Corps of Engineers as a hydrologic technician. Mr. Warnix enjoyed tinkering with things around the house and especially enjoyed raising his German Shepherds.

Mr. Warnix died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at his home in Sheridan at the age of 73.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rosemary Snowball Warnix of Sheridan; Son, Billy Warnix of Sheridan; Brothers, Philton and wife Joyce Warnix and Phinis and wife Marilyn Warnix, all of Leola.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro.Terry Sayers of Little Rock officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Point Cemetery, near Fordyce. Visitation: Sunday, 2:00-4:00 P.M.
