Howard Larone Slaughter of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 14, 1940 in Dumas, Arkansas, the son of the late Lewis and Ruby Slaughter.  Larone died on August 4, 2023 at Saline Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Jeannie Schrader Slaughter, and a son, Brian Slaughter.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 22 years, Stacy Slaughter; son, Wayne Slaughter (Kim) of Hot Springs; sister, Helen Harper of Sheridan; bonus children, Travis Derrick (Mindy) of Benton, Beth Owens of Grapevine; grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Zach Slaughter (Heather), Graycee Owens, Greg Owens, RJ Derrick and Andrew Derrick; 9 great grandchildren. A special "Daughter" Kimly Yin, one very special fur baby, Riley, and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.,  Monday, August 7, 2023, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Walton officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation is also Monday, 1:00-2:00 P.M.
