Larry Wayne Williams of Prattsville, Arkansas was born December 21, 1948 at Malvern, the son of the late John and Elaine Mohrmann Williams. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and was a proud United States Navy Veteran, having served his country in Vietnam. He was retired from Caterpillar, as a mechanic, and later, salesman. Some of the things he enjoyed most were hunting and fishing, reading, cooking, and playing solitaire. Above all else, he cherished his family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.
Mr. Williams died Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 75. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Williams and Steven Williams; sister, Sharon Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Janet Earnest Williams of Prattsville; daughters, Stacy Williams of Hot Springs, Kelly (David) Wright of Prattsville; son, Clay (Crystal) Williams of Sheridan; grandchildren, Elaina Williams of Prattsville, Stephanie Lackey of Hot Springs, Phillip Bailey of Prattsville, Payne Harper of New Waverly, Texas, Hillary Williams of Sheridan, John Cooper Williams of Sheridan; great grandchildren, Mason and Cole; nephews, Wade Williams of Colorado, Dion Williams of Prattsville. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 29, 2023 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. David Wright, Bro. Neal Hollinger and Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to assist the patients at Arkansas VA Hospital by calling (501) 257-3288
