Homer Larry Worley of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 22, 1941 at Little Rock, the son of the late Homer Lloyd Worley and Corine Charlotte Carey Worley Swain. Larry served with the Little Rock Fire Department for 41 years, where he retired as Captain. He was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith, had served in the United States Army, was a graduate of U.A.L.R. with a degree in accounting, was a 3rd Degree Mason at Albert Pike Lodge 714, was member of Tar Camp Hunting Club, a member of the Grant County Democratic Committee, and a retired member of Local 34 Chapter of International Firefighters Association.

Mr. Worley died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 68.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Derryberry Worley of Sheridan; Daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Sam Treadway of Benton; Grandsons, Tyler Brian Treadway and Austin Treadway; Sisters-in-law, Jeanette and husband Cary Dunn of Fordyce and Joan Bulloch of Eureka Springs; Special nephew, Robert Alan Bulloch and wife Linda of Fayetteville; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton and Bro. Terry Hill officiating. A close friend of the family, Steven Harris, will be singing. Burial will follow at Bryant Cemetery, near Fordyce. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
