Laura McGinness Curry of Sheridan was born December 1, 1960, in Conway, Arkansas the daughter of James S McGinness and Nancy Sue Caldwell. Laura was a graduate of Sheridan class of 1979 and worked as a caregiver, including working as a van driver for Southeast Arkansas Transportation (SEAT) assisting in the lives of so many who were in need. She loved to watch murder mystery TV shows, was very active in many Facebook groups and even moderated several nature related groups. Laura also loved spending time with her cats Yoko and Winnie, and her dogs Mojo and Bean. Above all she loved her family and would do anything she could for them, she will be dearly missed.

Ms. Curry passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, in her home at the age of 64. She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Nancy Sue and Ben Caldwell, and the father of her children Randy Curry. She is survived by her daughters Carly (Jacob) Wilson, Joelle (Ethan) Curry of Sheridan, sister Julie McGinness of Little Rock, father James (Sandra) McGinness, stepsister Suzanne Fose of Greenwood, Maine, and stepbrother Frank Caldwell of Bush, Louisianna.

Visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday January 30, 2025, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morning Meadow Animal Rescue.
