Lawrence English of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 28, 1928 in Altus, Arkansas, the son of the late Dave William and Mae Belle Adams English. He was an active member, and Deacon of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church. For over 40 years he was owner/operator of English Lumber and Sawmill and currently owned English Trailer Sales. Even though he retired over 20 years ago, he never slowed down. He enjoyed riding horses, cutting and delivering firewood and being with his family. Mr. English was a devoted son, big brother, husband, and grandfather. He loved his daughters and their children and their grandchildren.
Mr. English died Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. Vincents Infirmary in Little Rock at the age of 85.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, LeRoy English.
Survivors, loving wife and best friend of over 65 years, Louise Lybrand English;
Daughters, Karen and husband Jimmy Crosswhite;
Janis and husband Matthew Forte; Cindy and husband Larry Allison all of Sheridan; Grandchildren, Jenni, Richie, Wade, Joey, Bethany and Nikki; great grandchildren, Luke, Hope, Jonathan, Lanie, Canon and Justi and a host of extended family, church family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4 P.M.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church , Frank Lee Young and Houston Taylor.
