Obituary

Lawson Dale Lewis of Prattsville, Arkansas was born February 24, 2010 at Little Rock. Lawson was full of life, and energy. He had an incredible smile, and never met a stranger. Unlike most children his age, he was as comfortable visiting with the older folks, as he was with other kids his age. Lawson was a part of the Yellowjacket Nation, as a 4 th grader at Sheridan Intermediate School. He was extremely smart, and did well in every subject, especially math. In the evenings, when he got home from school, he liked to go outside and shoot either his BB or pellet guns with Dayton. He really liked to hunt and fish, especially with Zach, who he considered his best friend. He also liked watersports, especially waterskiing, and also playing his electric guitar. He had his own YouTube channel, and made videos of himself doing the things he enjoyed most. Lawson had a contagious smile that was fitting, for his loving and adventurous personality. From watching cartoons with his Great Uncle Frank to making sure he found his favorite cafeteria worker, because he knew he'd get bigger portions, Lawson made friends everywhere he went. He especially looked forward to attending church at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and going to church camp in the summer.

Lawson died Sunday, December 8, 2019, along with his grandmother, Sue Roberts, in Scott, Arkansas, the result of a house fire, at the age of 9. In addition to his grandmother, he was preceded in death by his father, Shonn Dewayne Lewis; great grandparents, Doyce Miller, Charles "Buddy" and Joyce Threlkeld Beck and Dorothy Roberts.

Survivors include his parents, Alissa and Dayton Minshew of Prattsville, and the late Shonn Lewis; brothers, Dallas Dewayne Lewis of Malvern, Conner Lewis of Malvern, Logan Gregory of Poyen, Jackson Lewis of Camden; grandfather, Marvin Roberts (Betty) of Prattsville; grandmother, Gail Lewis of Malvern; great grandfather, Bennie Roberts of Prattsville; aunts, Melanie Latham (Joe) of Little Rock, Crystal Taylor (Tim) of Sheridan; cousins, Michaela, Jayden, Bella, Sierra, Eli, Zach, Logan, Dalton; great aunt, KK and Poppy; numerous other family members and many friends.
