L.C. Henderson of Leola, Arkansas was born February 15, 1927 at Rison, Arkansas, the son of the late Guy and Lillie Cope Henderson. He was a member of Leola Missionary Baptist Church, was a retired pulpwood contractor, was one of the founding members of Leola Volunteer Fire Department, and many years ago, was a Leola School District Bus Driver.

Mr. Henderson died, Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home in Leola at the age of 83. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hudson Henderson; sons, Guy W. And John C. Henderson; Daughter, Glenda Henderson Keen; brothers, Bernis and Billy Henderson; sisters, Geneva Vent and Floy Edmonds.

Survivors include his Daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bill Atchley of Sheridan; Father-in-law, Curtis Caddy and wife Dorothy of Leola; Daughter-in-law, Suzanne Henderson of Jefferson; brother, Rufus and wife Jeannette Henderson of Pine Bluff; sister, Leona Culp of Austin, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren
and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Leola Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Johnie Brewster and Bro. Richard Sullivant officiating. Burial will follow in Leola Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Jimmy Lunsford, Steven Hudson, Mike Hudson, Mark Henderson, James Burl Miller and Matt Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Luther Carter, George Luzader, Paul Luzader, Dewey Luzader and Frank Rogers.
