LD Ward of Sheridan, Arkansas left this earth for his heavenly home on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 84.

LD was an avid deer hunter, loved fishing, spending time with his family, fixing anything that broke and watching the Razorbacks. He loved talking about growing up and for the last 3 years he loved spending time with his best friend his dog Rascal.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Maxine Ward; grandson Alix Hicks; parents Elgie and Bertha Ward; brothers Harold Ward, Orville Ward; sisters Gladyace Bowen and Dorothy Bennette.

Survivors; children, Janet (Sam) Hicks of Little Rock, Janice (Rick) McCool of Redfield, Pam (John) Clark of Sheridan, Shawn (Robyn) Ward of Sheridan, Sheila (Tony) Krisell of Hensley, Steven (Leslie) Ward of Sheridan; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; Siblings Wanda (Bob) Edwards of Texas, Leroy (Angela) Ward of Texas, Bobby (Bonita) Ward of Hot Springs, Glenda (Gary) Lewis of Prescott and his best friend Rascal his dog and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Cemetery in Rison with Bro. Dennis Holmes officiating. Visitation will be at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
