Lena Harper Duncan of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 8, 1909 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Johnny Jackson and Sarah Emily Baker Harper. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Moores Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Duncan died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Pearl River, Louisiana at the age of 97.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Duncan; Daughters, Ida Lee Davenport, Nolene Duncan and Brenda Kay Duncan; Brothers, Claude, Lester, Pete, J. M., and Johnny Harper; Sisters, Mattie Harper, Francis Corley, Roberta Yancey and Topsy Reed.

Survivors, Daughter, Olene Harris and husband James of Pearl River, Louisiana;

Brother; Jessie Cleo Harper and wife Helen of Sheridan;
Sisters; Helen Walker of Sheridan; Tresia McCool of Oregon;
Sister in laws; Mildred Harper and Helen Harper of Sheridan;

Grandchildren; William Davenport, Brenda Esser, James Olen Harris, Celia Davon and Glenn Harris;
Great grandchildren; Shaunna, Aaron, John Charles, Cachey, Susan and Cara.

Graveside services will be 10:00A.M. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan with Michael Walton officiating. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
