Dewell Leon Lovell, Sr. of Benton, Arkansas was born April 13, 1940 in Benton, Arkansas, the son of the late George Clinton Lovell, Sr., and Ina Johnson Lovell. He was a member of Buie Baptist Church in Prattsville and LL Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, and crappie fishing.

Mr. Lovell died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 79.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Evelyn Keene, Evell Lovell, Lee Lovell, Louise Edwards, George Lovell, Faye Warrick, Eva McGinley, Jack Lovell, John Lovell and a son, Billy John Lovell.

Survivors: wife, Gayla Sims Lovell of 36 years from Benton; sons, Gary (Julia) Lovell of Prattsville, Dewell L. Lovell, Jr. of Prattsville; step sons, Ronald (Janet) Gentry of Benton, Randy (Cynthia) Gentry of Tennessee, 2 grandsons, Clay Lovell of Benton and Casey (Billy) Lovell of Little Rock that he and his wife raised; his first wife, Beatrice Berniece Evans of Prattsville; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at noon at Jones Palestine Cemetery.
