Obituary

Lexie Lee Brewer Skorcz of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 22, 1918 in the Crossroads Community in Grant County to the late Joe and Carrie Lee Camp Brewer. She was a charter member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where she served on the Alter Society. For many years she had been a 4-H Club leader and a member of the Grant County Home Extension Club. A gifted homemaker and cook, the family said she made the best homemade bread in Grant County.

Mrs. Skorcz died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Jerome Skorcz, sister, Texie Harris and brothers, Thurman Brewer, Jay Brewer, Coy Brewer, Bill Brewer, John Brewer and Herbert Brewer.

Survivors: Sons, Harvey and wife Sharon Skorcz of Sheridan;
Charles and wife Nancy Skorcz of Sheridan;
Daughter, Patricia and husband Mark Pollack of Little Rock; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a Rosary service to follow at 7:00 P.M.

Pallbearers are Brandon Skorcz, Haydn Skorcz, Michael Skorcz, Brian Skorcz, Cody Skorcz, and Aaron Gentry. Honorary pallbearers are Devan Skorcz, George Brewer, John Brewer, Jon David Bradford and Jordan Berry.
