Linda Sue Brooks of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 21, 1949 in Des Moines, Ohio the daughter of the late Edward John and Glenna Jean Schultz Brooks. She was a cook at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs.

Ms. Brooks died November 23, 2009 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 60.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Avant and her brothers, Kenneth David Brooks and Johnny Brooks.

Jean Jensen of Friendship;
11 grandchildren; Brian, Eston, Toni, Eric, Kristina, Tobie, Benjamin, Donavin, Josh, David and Heidi. 5 great grandchildren; Gabe, Peyton, Lizzy, Lindsey and Devon.

A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Horton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
