On Wednesday, January 25, 2023 Linda Susan Knaupe of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away at the age of 85 at Sheridan  Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she was greatly loved and cared for by the Nursing and Administration Staff. The family cannot express enough gratitude for the love she was given during her time there.

She was born April 9, 1937 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of the late Orville E. Brown and Susan C. Peabody.

She was a member of Meadowview Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan, AR where she served her Lord. She was a, loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. Those who knew Linda know she did not like being fussed over and would rather give than receive.

Linda was known for her kind and gentle spirit, her easy-going nature, and her love for her family and friends. She is missed greatly by all who had the privilege of knowing her and sharing life with her.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with loved ones, working in the garden and absolutely anything to do with the outside. She was a Deli manager at Valero for many years and later retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanton Knaupe and daughter Susan Painter.

Survivors: Son, James F. Knaupe of Delaware, 10 grandchildren; dear friend Martha Moltz and a host of extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowview Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan, AR.

Linda will be buried beside her husband at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Inc. located in Wake Village, Texas.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
