Obituary

Linda Gail Cranford Pledger of the Palestine Community near Sheridan, was born August 9, 1940, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Elmo Cranford and Ophie Mooney. She was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed anything to do with the Razorbacks, going to craft fairs, playing bingo, and listening to Elvis.

Ms. Linda died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Saline Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Eldon Opal Pledger, and her three brothers Boyce, Norman, and Larry Dwight Cranford.

She is survived by her sons, Martin Pledger of Hot Springs, Kevin Pledger and family of Sheridan, Darrin Pledger (Shelli) of Benton, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday December 13, 2024, at Jones-Palestine Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation is Thursday December 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
